We rented a car for a day and drove the one main road that wraps around Koh Samui.
It was fascinating.. not only did we find beautiful beaches and crystal clear water {and white lounges and pillows on the sand — Thailand has that down!} but the most interesting part was going through markets, being in the streets, seeing how people live. Homes ranged from nice with property to tiny apartments, to shack communities directly behind or next to a fancy resort.
Want to know how we filled the car back up with gas? We pulled over to the side of the road where a barefoot, shirtless man was sitting in a folding chair selling gas in old liquor bottles. Thailand!
It has been incredible and eye-opening getting to live & travel in Asia this year.. to say the least.
I still have all my photos from where we stayed.. cannot.wait to show you.

Your photos make me what to get on a plane right now. The ones of the two of you on the beach are so cute!
It's always interesting to see how other people live. Selling gas in old liquor bottles is definitely not something you see everyday.
