On Sunday evening, we took a little family trip an hour south to see Shuri Castle at nighttime, peacefully quiet and all lit up. It’s one of the few things on our remaining Okinawa bucket list, and this was the perfect time of year for it. It was a beautiful night; we bundled up John Shea and walked holding hands together through the castle grounds in the chilly night air with few other people around, talking and admiring the interesting architecture and palm tree lined castle walls just visible in the moonlight. It’s sweet getting to share this time abroad with our son, even though he will only know about his Japanese adventures through photos and stories. We’ll also be sure to share how he screamed the entire two hours in traffic home.

ahhhhh he is ADORABLE in the little puffer vest! I showed Dougie Fresh at work today and he said he couldn't tell if the the baby was that small — or if Cam was just that big! ๐ I said probably both! Love that you guys are still crossing stuff off your Oki list!
LOVE LOVE LOVE,
