Marine Corps Birthday Ball

Happy 239th birthday, United States Marine Corps! I could not be more proud of my favorite Marine, the sweetest husband and the best daddy to our John Shea.

Also, consider me a huge fan now of Rent the Runway! They didn’t ship to us when we lived in Okinawa so this was my first time renting. I loved wearing and dancing in this sparkly number (and appreciated the $25 off for first timers). It was a gorgeous dress in person!

    You look absolutely gorgeous! I've wanted to try rent the runway, but am always nervous that it won't fit. how was your experience with that?

      I was too – but they send you a second size for free.. All of the reviews on each dress help a lot too to figure out if it fits true to size or not. My usual size actually fit perfectly. And I'm so glad I don't have to get my dress dry-cleaned and then sell it (what I usually do with my ball gowns) – this was so much easier! Definitely recommend it!

    You look stunning! That dress is to die for. RTR is absolutely magical. I'm now in the "they don't ship here" boat, and it's so depressing!!
