Oh my goodness. This baby girl is so. much. fun. When she is awake, she is singing and laughing and chatting, or fussing to eat… again! She loves food so much she eats more than John Shea does and sometimes even more than I do. She started out liking every food I gave her but now is most passionate about carbs, with homemade waffles at the top of the list. She is a Daddy’s girl and wakes up every morning asking for him. “DADDA! DADDY!” Loves the bath or any body of water regardless of the temperature. And still thinks her brother is the greatest thing to have ever happened to her. This time last year I was on bed rest while pregnant with her, with so many people praying hard for her. I love to remember that because here she is almost 10 months old already, so chunky, sweet, healthy, fiery and beautiful. She is such a joy.

so fun watching her grow! she's a doll! I'm curious…what's the quote on the wall over her crib? My daughter's name is Grace as well and I'm in the process of redoing her room and I'm looking for something similar ๐
Amanda Marshall says
Thank you!! It's a print from the hymn Come Thou Fount from Juliet Lapham's shop on Etsy https://www.etsy.com/listing/225839590/8-x-10-come-thou-fount?ref=shop_home_active_15

Hey! I know you don't know me – I just found your blog the other day while satisfying my curiosity about Okinawa, which looks just lovely. I then ended up getting distracted by the beauty of your more recent posts about your European adventure! I've been reading through them slowly, which I hope doesn't seem creepy since I'm a total stranger. ๐ I'm just a stay at home Christian mom back in the states, but your positive attitude while living all over the world is very inspiring and convicting to me! I'm sure it would be easy to get overwhelmed by all of the changes each time you relocate, but the way you choose to view it as an adventure is really inspiring to me – so thanks for that! My life is certainly less adventurous, but I've appreciated the reminder to view it that way – or at least to do my best to seek out the beauty and cherish it; just blooming where the Lord's planted us. Anyway, this post also hit home for me because my 4th child is 4 months old now, and I was on bedrest with her from 24 weeks on. That was really rough! I can only imagine doing that while abroad – wow! So thankful your Grace is here safe and sound, and thankful my Faith is here safe and sound, too. Bed rest is definitely a scary experience! I'd never had that before! And love that print you have over her crib. Makes me want to get one for my Grace – that's one of my favorite hymns for sure! Anyway, sorry to write a book – just wanted to say more than "Hi, I'm a random stranger who's been perusing your blog." ๐
