Back in early October, we did a mini-session with The Great Romance Photo. Connie and Tommy are a husband-wife dream team and honestly could not be sweeter! They are the type of people that you feel totally at ease with (which is good since I almost always take our family photos on my tripod with no one else around!) and want to go get lunch together after and keep talking because they’re just so fun, warm, personable and down to earth! I’ve also wanted family photos on film since John Shea was born, and will treasure these for years to come.
I was thinking this morning about it being the start of Thanksgiving week and the day set aside to be thankful: to thank God for His unending goodness and grace to us and to celebrate that by eating really good food together around the table. Ahh there is so much to be thankful for! Some of the things that are on my mind:
John Shea stopping dead in his tracks to smooch me on the lips
Cameron.
Hot showers and a roof over our head with a pretty home inside
Dreaming outloud with Cam about growing old together, raising our babies, traveling, our vineyard!, farming, raising chickens, building our dream house and leaving it for our children
Naptime
California weather (thank you Lord for easing me back slowly after three years of summer!)
Clean water in abundance
The rainstorms we’ve been having lately and our fireplace roaring thanks to Cam
Studying and getting ready to move to the part of the world my family is from!
Settling into a new church home
Walking Carmel beach with my boys
A healthy and beautiful son
Chai tea latte in hand and watching my baby doll run around in the sand
John Shea walking!! He started two weeks ago!! One of the best things I’ve ever seen in my life!
Fresh flowers, forever and ever and ever, amen.
Finding camellias on the side of the road to pick
Heavenly scented stock and roses on my nightstand
Movie marathons late into the night with Cam when we should be fast asleep
You??
Shout for joy to the Lord all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us and we are His. We are His people, the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations. Psalm 100.

We're memorizing that Psalm as a family this year. As motivation for my five year old son, I told him we would buy the Lego Nativity set when he learned the whole chapter ๐ I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving…looking forward to seeing pictures of what you make.
