Peonies. They were everywhere in our wedding, made up my bridal bouquet with a few gardenias too, and what I go crazy for during Spring & Summer when they’re in bloom out here. Arrowtown is absolutely beautiful — it has one main road that’s lined with bakeries and charming restaurants, white picket fences, small church steeples on seemingly every corner, brick & stone cottages, and peonies. Everywhere. I was in love. Cam, patient and wonderful husband that he is, humored me while I oooh’d and ahh’d literally every other second.
We sat outside the same darling bakery both mornings we were there, drinking cappuccinos with breakfast of warm fig & date scones served with freshly homemade jam and whipped cream.
There are so many b&b’s and cottages to choose from… we spent a night in this cute one.
