Last week, Ash and I went on a walk/talk through my neighborhood since our husbands were both gone, and stopped at Yoshiko-san and Setouko-san's house, our favorite farmer neighbors I write so often about. My Mom’s Blackberry Cobbler for the Start of Advent
My Mom made this for us growing up, always always served it with vanilla ice cream on top, and reminded me this week when I asked for the recipe to do the same. That simple cobbler, hot and fresh out of the oven with ice cream melting into it, transformed a weeknight dinner at home into something special. Weekend Drive Up The West Coast
Pitstop on the side of the road for some chicken yakitori and bento boxes. Those sweet jowls! And look of pure joy!! A couple of snaps {mostly through the car window!} up North on the West Coast.
