Late last Thursday night, we put the kids to bed in the car and drove four hours to the island of Pag, just off the Dalmatian Coast. Easter Week in Croatia and in Our Home!
Happy Easter!! This is the biggest week in Croatia (and personally in my own heart and mind) and I wanted to show you a little bit of what it's been like here... In Croatia, Palm Sunday is translated as Flower Sunday. There is an old tradition to soak flowers in water and wash your face in the morning with it to symbolize new life and spring. White Garlic Pizza with Apple and Walnut Salata in Sweet White Wine Vinaigrette
I think the inspiration for this pizza came from all of the white cherry blossoms opening and trees becoming green again around Zagreb. It's the start of Spring and Easter week and it is beautiful out!! There are olive branches being sold throughout the markets, wooden and painted eggs and olive branch wreaths to get ready for Palm Sunday tomorrow.
