Humpback whales are migrating right now in the sub-tropical waters along Okinawa and through the Keramas, which is a small island chain just an hour boat ride away. We think they might be the most gorgeous islands we've ever seen and watching these beautiful behemoth mammals jumping through the water just off of them was incredible. Neighborhood Fish Market
{battered & fried fish. ohh. yes.} Our favorite way to get to the market? The scoot. {Camilyn Beth Swagg all the way in Japan!} I've probably already said this about 100 times on here, but fishing is a major industry on this island. Just about every one of our neighbors is a fisherman.. and you can get fresh fish any day of the week. Hooray. Week dei Fiori
Every now and then on this island I look at Cam and ask, "where are we? Asia or Europe??" That is of course until you notice locals everywhere and hear the familiar Japanese phrases all around you, "Sagoy! Arigato!"
