I picked up these beautiful Okinawa vegetables this morning at our neighborhood farmer's market and used some in dinner tonight + a dinner for a new mommy. The orange fruit next to the Japanese eggplants are persimmons and are so delicious and high in beta carotene. I don't know what the beautiful deep green and purple lettuce is called, but my favorite farmer neighbor grows it and told me how "genki" {healthy} it is for you. Thankful // Little Things
I'm thankful for so many "little" things this week. {Most especially getting a few extra days with Cam before he leaves for a month and a half!} Being barefoot on the beach. Saturday morning bike ride to our fave bakery to get fresh bread. Cappuchino with chocolate on top. Be still my heart. Morning reads. Cool enough weather for my favorite pair of boots, in Naha. Gold Leaf Molasses Cookies
{our first married Fall in Virginia at Hollin Farms} If any of you live in the DC/NOVA area, Hollin Farms is incredible in the Fall. We had so much fun picking out pumpkins, getting fresh cider, and wine tasting at the vineyards down the road afterwards. I highly recommend it.
