We have officially entered summertime on this little island. In Okinawa, that means serious heat and humidity, but also lots of beach time, dips in the ocean and grilling on our back patio. We even hung out in the adirondack chairs and roasted s'mores with our good friends Saturday night {someone had a craving!!} Most people I know love the Fall and Christmas seasons best, but for me, even being pregnant and getting bigger every day, summer is mine. Where we Stayed on Ishigaki Island
For anyone thinking about traveling down to Ishigaki or just simply interested (: We stayed at the Club Med Kabira Beach, located on a gorgeous cape where the East China Sea meets the Philippine Sea. I booked it through a last-minute deal at one of the on-base travel agencies, that worked out perfectly with our slowly-recovering travel fund. Kabira Bay & Around Ishigaki Island, Japan
Kabira Bay: famed for being one of the top 5 most beautiful sites in all of Japan. With the soft turquoise and emerald clear water amidst the lush islands and colorful boats, it was truly stunning! It's also where black pearls are harvested, and sold in Kabira Village. Sukuji Beach. This is one of my favorite photos from the week. 26 Weeks on Ishigaki Island
Some bebe updates... Nursery: We have a lot left to do, but ooh, I'm having fun with it as it slowly comes along. I love nesting.
