I’ve said it on here before and I’ll likely be saying it for the rest of my life! New Zealand is the most gorgeous place we’ve ever seen.
It’s hard to tell from my photos but Lake Tekapo is a brilliant turquoise when the sun is shining, creating a magnificent sight with the Alps, fields of purple lupines and the Church of the Good Shepherd encircling it. It’s also one of the best places in the Southern Hemisphere to see the night sky. Unfortunately for us, it rained almost the entire time we were there, but the weather didn’t stop us from going on an amazing day hike {we were drenched!} through steep sheep pastures up to Mount John for a breathtaking view. There were maybe three other people on the trail, also drenched, and flocks of precious lambies and sheep grazing in the rain. We talked over Goldens and a long dinner afterwards at Mackenzies and later watched the stunning sunset from a field of lupines. That photo of Cam picking me up was taken around 10pm. I still can’t get over how long their days are!
If you follow me on Instagram then you probably also saw our mouth-watering breakfasts at the Run 77 General Store, where every single option is organic and local.
Whether you’re a foodie, wine lover, adventurer, or just love being in
the outdoors, I hope you get to travel through the stunning south island
one day. It was such a dream for us!

The colours in the pictures are so stunning! There's nothing but grey skies where I live, so your photographs really make me desperate to hop on a plane to New Zealand!

It is true that when the kids start growing, the sense of responsibility towards the family becomes a priority for the parents. Many times, it suppresses the romantic feeling between husband and wife. Therefore, it becomes essential to plan a romantic holiday that can reignite the sparks of love and make you feel young at heart once again. Those who are planning to go out for an exotic journey with their beloved partners should not skip booking the cheap and best honeymoon packages in Chile with Venture Honeymoons, the travel experts.

Hi Amanda, I absolutely love these photos of NZ. I am planning to go later this year which I am so excited about. I would really love to time it around those beautiful blooming lupins. Can you please tell me what dates you were there so I may have the same luck? Thanks so much <3 Jess
